It has been proved that “Planting churches” is one of the best ways to evangelize to the unreached people groups and Tribes. As an organization by doing this we empower the Church in Africa to be able to carry on the great task God had called her to accomplish.
Proclaim-Africa’s intention is to work alongside churches; but not to take up their responsibilities. When Crusades are staged through the Jesus Film in the unreached Areas, we use this opportunity to take up this call and when the church is planted, it is nurtured and left in the hands of the faithful servants of the local churches. We encourage the development of Small Cell Groups in work place and communities as a way of empowering the growth of churches in our areas of operation.
Why Plant New Churches?
- This is one of the example of the early church strategies to reach out the lost:
- Planting the new churches is in obedience to God’s call – Jesus himself sends out all believers to the uttermost parts of the word to reach them with the gospel, winning them to Christ. Thus, church planting is one of the ways to respond to this great commission.
- A newly planted church has great opportunities to reach out to the lost in the community: new churches have got fresh strategies on reaching out to the people in the area through Evangelistic Teams and Outreach Crusades.
