As the year 2018, we look back to 2017 with gratitude to God for what He accomplished for us in the women’s ministries.

This year began with our annual women of excellence conference of Mbarara chapter, 2nd -6th of January 2018. Our venue, as always, was Ntare school.

The theme was “Jesus satisfies”.

Various speakers addressed various topics as assigned by the organizing committee.

Dr. Lazarus Seruyange led in Bible exposition/devotions based on the book of Ephesians; the outstanding lessons were that we are to bless and we need to be people of prayer like Paul.

Mrs. Lois Seruyange addressed the topic of our identity in Christ “she emphasized the need of knowing our identity in Christ as of paramount importance because this is where we drive a good self image and we can launch out to serve the Lord and man more effectively e.t.c.

She had been asked to address the topic “Caring for a girl child”. She pointed out that much as the girl child is vulnerable in many aspects, we should remember that all our children, both boys and girls need our focused and concentrated care because they are gifts and a blessing from the Lord Ps 127:3-5. They need love, total acceptance and a sense of belonging, and we should start from there and then focus on the girls’ needs.

Some other speakers addressed topics as follows, “seeking God” by Dr. Nerina, she said, Jesus taught us “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,” Matt 6:33, “Living the Christian Life” by Dr. Mrs Alice Mwesigye – emphasizing the need to practice forgiveness and also the fact that problems we encounter are not forever! All we need is to stay in the Word of God and to keep growing in our faith.

Mrs. Margaret Opo addressed the theme of the conference, “Jesus satisfies and urged the conferees to look to Jesus for all their needs.
